Concepts for your Observability Journey

Term	Description
Core Instance	An installation of Calyptia Core on top of a virtual machine, bare metal server, your laptop, or Kubernetes cluster
Pipeline	A highly-scalable, auto-healing, and a configured entity managed by Calyptia Core that has a source, processing, and destination
Secret	An object that contains sensitive data such as a password, a token or a key.
Actions	A base unit of transformation for processing rules. This can include "Add", "Remove" or other transformations
Processing Rules	A set of actions that are part of a pipeline
Source	Where data originates from or is being collected from
Destination	Where data is being sent or delivered to
